When Last Did You Pray For The Celibate?
A celibate is one who abstains from sexual relations and pleasures. It is one who is not married, especially one who has taken a religious vow not to get married, usually because of being a member of a religious community.
The celibate life isn't an easy life, reason is, those involved have to ward off any factor that tends to spring up due to biological factors, physiological factors or otherwise. Those who tread through the path deserve to be prayed for.
Those who indulge in celibacy as a way of life constantly have to distract themselves through work and service to humanity. Every journey comes with a lot of temptation, but the celibate journey comes with more temptation because as a matter of fact, what you dread the most is what threads in the most.
When last did you pray for that preacher, monk, nun, missionary, military agent, detective or even that young lad by the corner sitting pretty and partnering with God who have sacrificially dedicated their lives to service?
Celibacy is a sacrificial venture yet highly enviable cos those involved have a special slot reserved in the heart of God.
Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 7:36
"I think that in view of the present distress, it is good for a person to remain as he is."
Today, let's remember the celibate in our prayers asking God to continually be with them till the end.
Have a great day.

Some times the much we can do is to give a little, of course celibates are worth praying for. Most times when we see temptations poised at them, we ought to help them either physically by stopping or eliminating that or spiritually by lending our voices in prayer for them. As strong as they present themselves to be, they're still mortals like us and with our prayers we can draw graces for them from The Most High and in turn receive blessing for ourselves.
