No Wonder She Snitched!

I used to think that Rebekah, mother of Esau and Jacob, was a mother who allowed favouritism take a toll on her. This is displayed by the way she snitched to her favourite son, Jacob, about Isaac (Father of Esau and Jacob) wanting to bless Esau their first born son. (Genesis Chapter 27)

Out of curiosity, I made Rebekah and Jacob my case study. From my mini research, God opened my eyes to realize that in Genesis Chapter 25, Esau sold his birthright to his brother Jacob over a plate of meal; for he was hungry. The event birthed the future brouhaha between Esau and Jacob

*I'm pretty sure, Rebekah was excited about the event, hence, prompting her to monitor the well-being of her favourite son Jacob, to ensure all the blessings accrued to a first born is obtained by him.

It safe to say that Rebekah wasn't entirely dramatic after all. Also, note that Esau was Isaac's favourite son. Both parents were guilty of favouritism, Rebekah was the smarter one. (This post doesn't justify favouritism as a standard for raising children. It has done more harm than good).

My verdict: Never make decisions (especially sensitive ones) when you're hungry, angry or even (artificially) happy, the consequences may be grave.

*Snitching about the "Issac family" was a great idea right? *winks

He Has Given Skills To All Craftsmen

The Big Question: Are You A Craftsman?

Whether you say yes or no, you're right.

Anchor Scripture: {Exodus 31:6}
"And to all who have aptitude for crafts, I've given the skills to make all the things I've commanded you."

The above anchor scripture is not bias intent, neither does it propagate segregation or stereotype. The ''craftsmanship ability'' is entitled to all who have the aptitude to acquire it, so far it's in line with everything God has commanded.

Which inherent craft are you exhibiting? Which extrinsic craft are learning? God has assured us that He has given skills to ALL craftsman.

Still craving to become a skillful craftsman? Here are the virtues to incorporate;

First, you must take to cognizance that the Holy Spirit teaches all things.(Every and Any craft can be learnt)

Second, you must seek to find, and ask to receive every good and perfect gift. (Jeremiah 29;11- I have plans to give you a future you hope for)

Third, You must establish/maintain a personal relationship with God. This way, streams of creative ideas and revelations are deposited into us.

*Being skillful works hands in gloves with creativity. (Galatians 6:1- Live creatively)

The responsibilities of a craftsman does not come rosy and handy, it entails rigorous training and discipline which may drive us crazy, hereby prompting us to give up. But Hebrew 12 :6 admonishes us, saying, "We should not shrug off God's discipline, neither should we be crushed by it because it's the child He (God) loves that He disciplines and corrects.

Ask for anything in God's name and He'll do it (John 14:14), for He Has Given Skills To All Craftsmen!

You're Interested In Religion, He is Interested In People!

Do you know that at the end of the day, where you go to worship wouldn't even matter, only how you lived your life will? (John 4:23)

Anchor Scripture: {Luke 9: 49-50}
"John spoke up, "master, we saw a man using your name to expel demons and we stopped him because he wasn't of our group.''
Jesus said, "Don't stop him. If he's not an enemy, he's an ally.''

It breaks my heart to see Christians war over the superiority or inferiority of other denomination. This has to stop! It's a trap set by the devil to disunite Christians. Many ignorant Christians are falling for the devil's scheme. Note that it is not in the position of humans to judge, only God is permitted to Judge the affairs of man.

From the above anchor scripture, we see how Jesus admonished John by categorically stating to him that the man whom they tried to disregard because he wasn't in their group yet casting demons in Jesus' name is a friend.

Quit the religious segregation instituted by mere men, God is not a fan! he is interested in people, not religion. (Zechariah 7:6)

Below is God's instruction to man; (Zechariah 7:10)

* Treat one another justly

* Love your neighbours justly

* Be compassionate with one another

* Don't take advantage of widows, orphans, visitors or the poor

* Don't plot and scheme against one another - that's evil

In our society today, religious segregation has taken a greater toll, some employers give preference to only candidates that attend their respective churches (whether qualified or not) in the course of choosing an employee. This has to stop!

Be a reflection of God's image, shift the focus off religion, and direct it at people, irrespective of their denomination, for WE ARE ONE.

Have a GREAT day!

Monitor Your Progress

It's the only way to accrue record-breaking results.

A wise farmer plants his seed into the ground, waters it on a regular basis, and is vigilant to notice any weed that may surround it; hence uprooting it. It's the only way he can reap a juicy bountiful harvest.

Anchor Scripture: {Exodus 2:4-6a & vs 7}
"The baby's sister found herself a vintage point a little way off and watched to see what would happen to him. Pharaoh's daughter came down to the Nile to bathe; her maidens strolled on the bank. She saw the basket-boat floating in the reeds and sent her maid to get it. She opened it and saw the child - a baby crying!"
vs 7 "Then his (baby Moses') sister was before her: "Do you want me to go and get a nursing mother from the Hebrews so she can nurse the baby for you?'' Pharaoh's daughter said, ''Yes, Go.'' The girl went and called the child's mother.''

From the interesting anchor scripture above, we see how Moses's sister monitored the progress of her infant brother till he reached the bosom of Pharaoh's daughter. She didn't quit monitoring him even after she noticed that the baby was in safe hands, she took the risk of approaching Pharaoh's daughter to proffer a solution on who was to nurse the baby, this way linking Baby-Moses back to his biological mum! How sweet!

Indeed, out of sight is out of mind. Imagine if Moses's sister didn't watch her little brother to ensure he obtained the security he deserved, Pharaoh's daughter may have handed the baby to an inexperienced nurse who wouldn't have given the baby adequate care.

What trade are you involved with? Ensure you monitor your progress  at each phase. This way, it will enable you proffer apt solution, or avert any ill, need there be a case of an emergency.

Have A Beautiful Easter Celebration And A Fruitful Week Ahead!

Know When To Say I'm Sorry

So many people are good in saying 'I'm Sorry', but very unrepentant in saying 'I'm Sorry' at the wrong time.

Anchor Scripture: {1 Samuel 25:8-24}-paraphrased
David sent message to Nabal through his men, saying, vs 8b: "Let my young men find favour in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your head to your servant and to your son David.''
vs10-11: ''Then Nabal answered David's servants, and said, "Who is David, and who is the son of Jesse? "Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men who I do not know where they are from
Then David said to his men when they returned with Nabal's distasteful news saying, "Every man grid on his sword!''
vs 14: ''Now one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, "Look, David sent messengers from the wilderness to greet our master but he reviled them.''
vs 18: ''Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five sheep already dressed, five seahs of roasted grains, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of fig, and loaded them on donkeys.''
vs 24: ''So she fell at his (David's) feet and said: 'On me, my lord, on me let this iniquity be!' And please let your maidservants speak in your ears, and hear the words of your maidservant."
*Kindly read I Samuel Chapter 25 for the full account.

From the above anchor scripture, we glaringly see the wisdom of Abigail come into play. Her apt apology made David retract the vengeance he intended to execute on Nabal and his people. Imagine if she had delayed her apology, reverse would have been the case.

I know of a temperamental man who is always in the habit of going ballistic at his wife in public, but never fails to apologize to her in private. Each time he apologized to his wife thereafter, she nonchalantly accepted his plea for peace sake. Even after she had accepted the apology, she remained hurt and bitter within, wishing her husband was mature enough to apologize to her in public instead of saving it to when they go private.

A great number of people have terminated a once blossoming relationship because of their inability to say 'I'm Sorry' when it is dearly needed, hence, it becomes too late to make amends when they soon realize that the supposed drift was initiated by them.

Saying sorry at the wrong time will cost you a fortune, but saying sorry at the right time will reinstate your peace, solidify your relationship (with God and with man), escalate your joy, and in turn yield graceful shared moments.

Know when to say I'm Sorry...

Have a Great day!

Newsflash: You'll never conceive if you keep taking contraceptives.

Contraceptives are anything contrary to Conception. Contraceptives are hinderers; they obstruct the conception process, hence yielding nothing.
Birthing the iconic will never be possible if the intake of contraceptives continually gets in the way.

Anchor Scripture: Luke 1:31&38
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call him Jesus."
"Then Mary said, "behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be done according to your will."

From the above anchor scripture, it is relatable that Mary didn't subscribe to contraceptives to obstruct the growing fetus in her womb. Her response to Angel Gabriel was, "Let it be done according to your will." A "No" from Mary would have altered the conception phase.

Contraceptives are abortion pills.

So many people in the world consciously or unconsciously abort their fetus because they don't want to go through the inconveniences that comes with pregnancy. Rather, they are looking for a surrogate mother who will help them bear and birth their pregnancy. And in a situation where no surrogate mother shows up, they remain sterile.

Are you pregnant with ideas, good counsel, and innovations that could cause a dimensional shift in the world we live in? Discard those contraceptives, permit conception, embrace your pregnancy phase, and be assured to birth your bundle of joy like the analysis of a Hebrew woman in Exodus 16:19

Have a Contraceptive-Free day!

A Mess Or A Message?

How do you see the not so little water in that glass? As half full or half empty? Perception is everything.
Negative perception yields negative conclusion, while Positive perception yields positive actualization.

In the case of a troubled circumstance, have you ignored the mess(es) that's glaringly scornful and subscribed  to the message, hence learning from its lessons? Until we begin to take cognizance of the message communicated to us in every situation (either positive or negative), we'll never have dominion over the circumstance even though we emerge winners.

Anchor Scripture: {Deuteronomy 1:34-35
"When God heard what you said, He exploded in anger. He swore, 'Not a single person of this evil generation is going to get so much as a look at the good land that I promised to give your parents. Not one - except for Caleb son of Jephunneh. He'll see it. i'll give him and his descendants the land he walked on because he was all for following God, heart and soul."
Vs 37b: "Your assistant Joshua son of Nun, will go in."

As long as the Israelites identified with the mess instead of the message during their walk to the Promise Land, it multiplied the years of their sufferings. Their continual anger, disobedience, murmur and complaints deprived them of reaching the promise land.  And because God perceives negative mindedness as sin (Galatians 5:19-21), He wiped the negative minded generation, retaining the promising/ positive minded clans (aged 20 years and below) who understood His mind and trusted His lead.

Cry, Wail, and Lament all you want in the face of adversity, but never forget to uplift the message from the mess and run with it. It's the only way to obtain merited victories.

Have a Message-Filled day!
