Give Up On Your Dreams

But only for a short while though...

Some people put their dreams on hold for many weeks, months or even years in order to serve, acquire knowledge and in turn undergo the training phase. They are on the right path.

I once heard a public speaker say, "In order to make your dream come true, you'll have to give up your dream to make another person's dream come true.''
You make ask, "How feasible is this?'' Well, there is something called calculated risk. Ensure that whoever you'll give up your dreams for is worth it. This can be likened to the case of a nursing mother who takes a while off the work scene to tend to her newborn, but her snap back is divinity, because she returns fiercer than ever. Service and Honour is rewarding.

Anchor Scripture: {Genesis 29:18}
"Now Jacob loved Rachael; so he said, 'I will serve you seven years for Rachael your younger daughter."

Giving up one's dream temporarily comes with a lot of mixed feelings that includes; pain, anguish, happy moments, sleepless nights, discipline, subscribing wholly to the ethics etc.

Jacob was a distinguished Zoologist who put his dream on hold in order to ensure that his heart desire is met. It entailed marrying Rachael.

While putting one's dream on hold, it is deal to apply wisdom, thus analyzing the prospect of your long term goal and ensuring that plan B is nurtured concurrently.
People change for better or for worse, it shouldn't take you by surprise when this happens. Jacob learnt the hard way. *See Genesis Chapters 29- 31 for the full account.

Time investment/service is tantamount to a certified work experience, because overtime, one's skill is sharpened and their horizon, broadened.

Give up on your dream (but only for a short while), bearing in mind that no calculated risk/investment is a waste of time.

Have a Fab day Y'all

The Warning Sign

A warning sign is a signage that awakens the consciousness of a danger. Failure to adhere may result to a weighty sanction or disaster.

Anchor Scripture: {Deuteronomy 4:9}
''Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life.''

In a car dashboard display which updates or provides the driver with the appropriate information from time to time, ignoring the notification from the icons that represent the fuel gauge, temperature, maintenance, etc can lead to a crash that'll involve a lot of financial commitment to be reinstated or even an irrevocable loss of the vehicle.

The above illustration applies with relationship issues. The warning signs pop up from time to time.

The warning sign is not a disastrous signage but a sign that prevents one from a disaster if duly interrogated. If the warning sign in a relationship is ignored, it becomes monstrous overtime. But if the irreconcilable differences are reconciled in due course, then a healthy union is guaranteed.

The warning signs are ever before us. Pay attention. Act accordingly.

Have a great day Fam!

Just Like That!

Just kidding... lol

Since year 2015 after the demise of my mum, I've been praying to God for "equally yoked'' female friends who will tag along with me to the future. Two years later, Jesus did it!

I can understand if you're giving me a side eye or probably referring to me as dramatic, but in truth, I was wired to function effectively with the right association. Being raised in a "full'' house may have contributed to the factor.

Anchor Scripture: {Proverbs 18:24}
"One who has unreliable friends soon comes to a ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.''

All my life, I've had cool friends in between, but in the case of an equally yoked friend that sticks closer than a brother, it's been mission impossible. You'll never appreciate the presence of abundance until you've experienced perpetual lack. Well, all I can say is Thank You Jesus!

God added an amazing male friend to my life few months ago and topped it up with two female friends that have been all shades of amazing. Waking up to female friends who will join me in my morning devotion (where we'll have to set the agenda for the day) has been my utmost dream. Good news! that is my reality. Still feels unreal. *lool. Chai! Thank You Jesus.

The most interesting part is that these girls are my confidant, they understand. Guys claim to understand girls but it's really not so, unless you're lucky to meet a like minded person or one who has been adequately equipped from years of experience.

In truth, patience is a virtue! And yes, God is still in the business of answering prayers. His ways or pattern may seem slow but He's never a late God.

I still have other heart desires I'm believing God for, but I don't have trust issues when God is involved. Over the years, I've learnt to be patient with Him, and yeah, sometimes I have some questions about certain circumstances. But ultimately, I've realized that His ways are not our ways and He always has the perfect plan.

Just like that... Jesus heard me. He didn't give me double for my trouble, but triple for my tribulation. His praise will forever be on my lips. Amen

What are you believing God for? Wait on Him. He'll answer.

MIRACLE

 A Miracle is a wonderful event occurring in the physical that is attributed to the supernatural. The underlining factor of a miracle is that it must be physical, hence, it'll be recorded as mere hypnosis. Hypnosis is a trans-like state that is artificially induced.

THE BIG QUESTION...

Do you believe in miracles?

Ever wondered why Nigeria is still a third-world country amidst the high-rise "Miraculous'' revivals?

Don't misquote me, miracles are good but it tags along with a process.
So many people don't want to get involved with the process, yet wake up each day anticipating a 'miracle'.

Waking up each day anticipating a miracle is living by faith but it must go hand in gloves with work (especially good works).

Anchor Scripture: {Luke 17:11-14}
"Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, 'Jesus, master, have mercy on us!'
So when He saw them, he said to them, 'Go, show yourselves to the priests.' And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.''
The above anchor scripture illustrates the process which the Ten Lepers took to obtain their healing. Same applies in the case of Moses who struck the rock with his staff to produce water.

Israel's economic miracle is a story to cling on to. Israel was attacked 7 times in 67 years of existence. More so, they lacked a fertile ground for agriculture and possessed a small landmass.

To reverse the status quo (thus birthing their economic miracle), they subscribed to a rigorous process. Intellectuals, idealists and elites subscribed to tilling the ground and became an agricultural giant, spent sleepless nights, got involved in insatiable questioning of authority, strengthened their military defence, caused talented people to put their creativity to work, took risks and were ambitious. Engineering, Science and entrepreneurship were upheld as well.

We need our eyes of understanding opened, thus enabling us see the clouded (veiled) miracles around us that's needs to be made physical (unveiled) through a process.

Our Miracles are not on the way, they are in the way.

I believe in miracles.

Have a MIRACULOUS Day!

Vessel Of Honour

It is true that an empty vessel makes the loudest unpleasant sound, but it's never be heard of a loaded vessel making a distasteful sound. Loaded vessels are solidified, thus, can't be easily tossed around.

Anchor Scripture: {2 Timothy 2: 20-21}NKJV
"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour.
Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 MSG Translation
"In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets - some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.''

Reflecting on the above anchor scripture, we take to cognizance that all humans are vessels, but not all vessels are vessels of honour. Some are empty, some are used as waste-bins, some are mere serving spoons and some are crystal goblets and silver platters used to serve or appease royalties. The latter type of vessels are referred to as, "Vessels of Honour''.

Are you an empty, substandard or loaded vessel? Critically examine yourself.

Loaded vessels are high capacity containers. Fill your vessel with the right substance and watch God use you to do great and mighty works for humanity which will be ascribed to His Glory.

Never forget: A loaded vessel is a vessel of honour.

Have an INVIGORATING weekend ahead Fam!

INSECURITY

If you see yourself having sleepless night over someone else's fake Ray Ban Glasses and unceasingly striving to obtain it (especially when you have the original version), then there are greater chances that you are dealing with chronic insecurity issues.

If you can't confidently look into the other party's eyes during decision making, then get ready to be taken advantage of because of a low self esteem guise in the robe of insecurity.

More importantly, if you see yourself wanting it all and not being able to say no even when you know you ought to, then there are greater chances that you're sulked up in the claws of overconfidence. There is a thin line between insecurity and overconfidence.

Studies have shown that most overconfident people are "lowkey'' insecure and most insecure people are ''lowkey'' overconfident. One distinct trigger is enough to blow its cover and give way of the innate (not so upright) virtue to dominate and vice versa.

If you're constantly seeking validation from others, even to minute issue of seeking their assistance or acknowledgement to update your status on face book, twitter, instagram or other social media platforms, then your insecurity level is on cloud nine and you need prompt help!

Scripture Reflection: {Romans 9:25}
"I'll call nobodies and make them somebodies. I'll call the unloved and make them loved.''

Battling with any insecurity issue which I failed to mention because I was careful not to write an epistle? Take it to God in prayer.
Ensure you surround yourself with positive people who speak to the giant in you, make deliberate moves to work on yourself and above all, yell a reverberating STOP to every demeaning position, situation or decision you've wallowed in for so long.

Insecurity kills all that is beautiful.
