Flush Their Evil Schemes And Love Them Even More

"Evil schemes from manipulative people don't utterly leave us heartbroken, they teach us new techniques to operate with."
In search of a bosom friend, I fell into a situation worse than a Ponzi Scheme.

The supposed "new bosom friend" was such a motivational speaker, little did I know he was trying to win me over and take advantage of my sacrificial nature.

Imagine doing a strenuous business proposal on credit which cost you so many sleepless nights and brainstorming days...  Imagine graduating into lending the same person an amount money because they claimed you were their last resort with the excuse that their money was tied to a fixed deposit, assuring you that immediately the investment is broken, they'll pay you in full and even add an interest for your patience and kind gesture...  Imagine being lied to for many months with many excuses manufactured from the lake of hell... Imagine having to stare at the custom-made birthday gift you earlier w…

Faithlessness Doesn't Terminate His Faithfulness

A Faithless man is one who remains untrue to what ought to command his fidelity or allegiance, but a Faithful man is one who is loyal, dependable and is prudent in all things.

Anchor Scripture: {Romans 3:4}MSG Translation
"God keeps his word even when the whole word is lying through their teeth."

Subscribing to faithlessness doesn't terminate God's irrevocable faithfulness, for He is full of grace, wisdom, virtue, power, and glory. He owns it all and decides who to extravagantly hand a portion to.

Our wrongdoing only underlines and confirms God's rightdoing. Our bad words don't even make a dent in his good words.

Faithlessness distants us from the blessings He extravagantly dishes out on a platter, but faithfulness grants us access into the citadel of Faithfulness - God.

Choose Faithfulness over Faithlessness and larch unto the one Faithful God who promises to stick by our side and never let us down, for he cannot disown Himself.

Have a Faithful Day Guys!

But I'm Only 17

Somy: Your choice of songs are not tastefully put together, you know the lyrics to all the noisy songs on your cell phone, It's awkward that you do not have a single godly-based song with meaningful content.

Ife: Ahn ahn, Somy, but I'm only 17

Somy: In shock* Wow, seriously?

The above ridiculous conversation ensued between I and my baby sister, I was ashamed on her behalf, but unfortunately, she thought her response was really cool.

You try to correct the 21st century teen, and the distasteful feedback you obtain is "but I'm only 17." Only 17? Really?

News Flash: A lot can happen at age 17!

(Timid) Timothy was called into ministry at age 17

Seventeen year old Nick D'Aloisio set the internet on fire when it was announced that a smartphone he created in his spare time has been bought by yahoo at a whopping $30 Million.

At 17, award winning Belgium based Austro-Nigerian photographer, David Uzochukwu earned accolades from Canon, Flickr, and EyeEm, who named him …

Entitlement Mentality

Entitlement Mentality is a "me me'' affair. It's a selfish way of reasoning.

''It's okay to seek help because we all need help to rise, but it is not okay to feel entitled to receiving help. Help is a privilege not a right''.
Anchor Scripture: {Proverbs 3:5-6}
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not in your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to Him, and He will make your path straight."

Most people especially Nigerians believe it is the sole responsibility of their relatives to foot their bills or provide them with a job when their parents fail. It's typical to get upset when this happens but it is not an ideal mentality. The Entitlement mentality has to stop! What happened to doing or getting it yourself through the strength that God extravagantly disburses?
God delivered me from the Entitlement Mentality, I used to be a victim.

I know an unmarried woman in her mid-thirties who still rains curses on her rich un…

Your Adversary Is Relevant!

Do you know we can never become better versions of ourselves or actualize destiny without the presence of adversaries?

News Flash: Our Promise Land Is Not Empty; It is Filled With Adversaries.

The waggling tongues of adversaries is a proof that we are in our promise land or getting closer to it. Consciously or Subconsciously, our adversaries help us rise because they are in the habit of identifying our flaws or weaknesses, and by that, our consciousness is awoken and the drive to go even harder is prompted.

Being hated by the world is the number one sign that we are on the path of actualizing destiny.

Anchor Scripture:{ Mark 10:30}
"But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and land, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."

Success is intricately interwoven with persecution.

In October 2014, an adversary plotted for the epic fall of Linda Ikeji, one of the most successful Bloggers in…

Whatever overloads you to gives you unrest is a baggage!  It is a long-held attitude perceived as a burdensome encumbrance.

Anchor Scripture: {1Samuel 17:38-40}
"Then Saul outfitted David as a soldier in armor. He put his bronze helmet on his head and belted his sword on him over the armor. David tried to walk but but he could hardly budge.
David told Saul, 'I can't even move with all the stuff on me. I'm not used to this.' And he took it all off.
Then David took his shepherd's staff, selected five smooth stones from the brook and put them in the pocket of his shepherd's pack, and with his sling in his hand he approached Goliath.

There is no shame in being yourself! Fake people have to deal with a lot of baggage because they live in denial and self deceit.

If a 24 inch indian hair and artificial nails is naturally burdensome to you and wouldn't allow you sleep well at night, but because of the desire to belong to a particular group or class of people,…

Are You Paying Attention?

Wherever you are be all there- Jim Elliot

''People may not tell you how they feel about you, but they will always show you, Pay attention.''
Are you paying attention?

Paying attention cuts across listening to a conversation, it entails perceiving body languages and acting upon it as well.

Often times, the most important decisions are made when we are not paying attention. Are you paying attention to the signs or just moved by mere words or 'justifiable' actions?  Relax and start the evaluation process allover, it will show.

Signs are gestures or actions used to convey information or an instruction. Uninterestingly, not all signs are physical.

In a world filled with more negativity and less positivity, watching closely when others are carried away is a sensitive attribute to inculcate.

Pay attention to people, pay attention to the signs in your life, and pay attention to the world around us, And You'll Win...

Your Mentor May Be Wrong

Only a "Malu" takes in everything without critically evaluating it.

Anchor Scripture: {1John 4:1}
"My dear friends, don't believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you."

Attaining a level where you critically handpick principles that work for ''you'' and not for ''them'' is the actual maturity phase of your life. Having a mind of your own and putting it to effective use is where wisdom lies.
A Mentor is one who consistently teaches real solidified principles of core values, such as; character, integrity, and leadership. The role of a mentor is to teach, guide, encourage and to support you. A Mentor-Less individual is headed for the ''Loss Department''.  In the same vain, a Mind-Less person is headed for Ruin or destruction.

The Holy Bible is a valid authenticated standard that has stood the test of time. It is a yardstick for reference, evaluation and investigation. The purpose of …

The Mother Factor

When a Mother tenders full support to her favourite offspring, *Nwanne forgerrit, it's the ultimate backing ever needed for the actualization of destiny.
A Mother's love is a divine covering, citadel of peace, and a vessel of grace

Anchor Scripture:{Genesis 25:27-28}
"The boys grew up. Esau became an expert hunter, an outdoors-man. Jacob was a quiet man preferring life indoors among the tents. Isaac loved Esau because he loved his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

From the above Anchor Scripture, we take to cognizance that a Mother's love is ordained in Heaven, evidenced by all, and justified by norms. The sensitivity and vulnerability of a woman naturally paves the way into accessing the needful, Mothers are the highest benefactors.

Never downplay the capabilities of a Mother, for they are subtle, manipulative, disciplinarians, strategic illustrators, life-event planners, support system, and warriors all in one.

The quality and credibility of a child's life greatl…

Soul Food To Run With (Proverbs)

- A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks; a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered

- Pound on a fool all you like, you can't pound out foolishness

- Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul

- Don't respond to the stupidity of a fool, you'll only look foolish yourself

- Just as a door turns on its hinges, so a lazybones turns back over in bed

- God delights in concealing things, scientists delight in discovering things

- Don't talk about your neighbours behind their backs

- In the heat of an argument, don't betray confidences

- Don't envy bad people

- To win, you need a lot of good counsel

- It's better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day

- Strategic planning is the key to warfare

- Young people are prone to foolishness and fads; the cure comes through tough-minded discipline

- If you stop your ears to the cries of the poor, your cries will go unheard, unanswered

New Flame

Whatever 'unapologetically' tickles your fancy at the inception (especially unplanned) is a new flame. Give it time, the tickling will subdue and naturally adjust to its status quo.

Every (new) flame can be rekindled overtime, but this time; planned and deliberate.

Ever wondered why the value of an emotional speech or music that once set your heart on fire the first time it was heard, diminishes or reduces its 'spark effect' the second time it replayed? or the high rise motivation that engulfed you after reading a portion of the Bible or an Inspirational Book that affected your next decision making? or the high-blood-pressure that trapped you until you eventually maintained a (healthy) meaningful conversation with that 'crush' of yours? It's typical. *winks

In your (new) relationship with God, spouse, associations, family, etc, You'll storm the New-Flame-Effect which will diminish, continually making deliberate moves to rekindle the flame, cements its …

Sword Of the Spirit

All who speak in tongues should pray for the power to interpret.
''There are different tongues, none is without meaning''-1 Corinthians 14:10 Speaking in tongues releases the sword of the spirit for spiritual warfare. Familiarize with your ''spiritual sword'' if you have received yours, master its mechanical use, know how it operates, and run with it. In the same light, never ridicule or impose tongue-speaking on those who haven't receive theirs, rather; be patient with them and with God, create a spiritual foundation, nurture it, and cement it. This way, you'll empower your subject with the freedom to independently envisage exploits and obtain their many gifts freely given by the Father.

I sprang up from a religious background that amplified 'speaking in tongues' as a rare gift not accessible to all and disposed to a few. But then, I read my Bible again, this time; more critical, extensive, and in whole.
Currently, I'm trying the w…

My heart goes out to every hard worker engulfed in the cold-mourning-room of depression. I've been there too.

Depression is not laziness, same way vulnerability is not stupidity.

Depressed people are not stupid people, they are people vulnerable to the torments of the world. When sufficient discipline to surmount pressure isn't inculcated, the result is a break down (depression).

A young lady with a vision to do exploits narrated her non-fictional story of how she opted out of her regular job to pursue that which was her life assignment. She started off not prepared for the negativity/persecution knotted with "The Path To Getting It Right" which is usually lonely as well, fell into the confiscating hands of depression, locked herself up for 10 days and nights and wept profusely.
...Then, the WORD of God showed up, consoled her, strengthened her for the task ahead, and eventually rose her to an enviable level she least expected.

Depressed people are victim of self pi…

Body Size

One's body size has everything to do with people's perception but nothing to do with the individual's ability.

Whether you're tall, average, short, skinny, chubby or a plus size, the perception about YOU will take a dimensional swipe moments after an effective communication is established.

Ever wondered why a 6 footer is termed big for nothing? or the tinniest girl whom everyone undermined becomes the most dreaded when she tops the class? or that plus-sized singer who everyone ridiculed because of his unflattering looks, until he maximizes the use of his vocal ability and gives the audience a run for their money?

Anchor Scripture:{1Samuel 17:41-47} MSG Translation- Paraphrased
 "As the Philistine paced back and forth, his shield bearer in front of him, he noticed David. He took one look down on him and sneered - a mere youngster, apple-cheeked and peach-fuzzed
David answered, 'You come at me with sword and spear and battle ax. I come at you in the name of God…

You Are Not That Important To The Devil

News Flash: You're not that important to the devil.

As a matter of fact, the devil terms you insignificant, you almost don't exist in his sight.

Since the devil's disgraceful exit from Heaven, all he ever tries to do is get back at God as an act of revenge.  The sole reason he played the pivotal role of crafting Adam and Eve's ruin can be linked it.

Anchor Scripture: {John 10:10}
"The devil comes only to steal, to kill and to destroy"

From the above anchor scripture, we take to cognizance that nothing good can come out of the devil. His antagonizing role can be likened to the role of an antagonist warring against a lead character in an action movie who indulges in perpetuating every good.

The only reason he torments humans is because he is jealous of the unconditional love preferentially expressed by God to them.
Literally, the only way to get at anybody you detest is to go after that which they treasure or guard jealously.

...and that's all the devil tr…

Discernment is the ability to judge well.

I know of a 'self-acclaimed' sensitive person who acts upon his emotion. He literally believes and defends anyone he holds in high esteem. A pitiful face and a motivational plea would cajole him as well.

A friend of his once asked for an amount of money to ''execute a business deal'' and this ''self acclaimed'' sensitive being emptied his savings for his friend who went on to invest the fund in MMM(the supposed business deal). *funny and worrisome right?

Anchor Scripture:{Ephesians 1:17-19}
Paul advised, "Ask the God of our master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory, to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you see exactly what He is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for His followers, oh, the utter extravagance of His work in us who trust Him.''

Are you sensitive enough to recognize a prudent…

Your Prison...

At some point in our lives, we'll all get imprisoned. No one can escape it.

A prison is a building to which people are legally committed as a punishment for a crime or while awaiting trial. Also, a prison can be referred to any restrictive environment, such as a harsh academy, home or zone.

There are Two types of Prisons. They consist of the following;
i. Physical Prison ( a building for the convicted and awaiting trial persons)
ii. Psychological Prison (a harsh restrictive zone)

The physical prison is an undesired arena to be confined in. It's effects can be traumatic, especially when those convicted of a particular crime are supposedly innocent. Other times, it is a rehabilitation home where convicts or awaiting trial persons come out reformed and become better citizens.

Unfortunately, some people pass through both prisons...Well, the Psychological Prison is the bone of contention in today's post.

Any state that makes you unhappy, dissatisfied or depressed  is YOUR PRIS…
