The Walls Without Foundation

Image
Torments, Trials, and Tribulations are walls without foundation. With unceasing worship, strategic actions and effective prayers, the walls will fall flat. Anchor Scripture: { Joshua 6:20 } "So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city." From the above anchor scripture, we take to cognizance that walls (hindrances) can be subdued or eliminated by obeying God's instruction no matter how "ridiculous" it may seem to be. Imagine if the Israelites didn't adhere to God's instruction by shouting in worship and matching round the wall, the foundation-less wall wouldn't have fallen flat. Inquire what God wants you to do and not what man wants you to do. It is the only means of arriving at the landing sp

The Month Of March : Its Numerical Significance

Image
*I used to be a slayer. Lowkey, I still am tho..lol *It's an archive selfie of me taken in year 2014 I am a huge fan of numbers and numerical significance. I have special numbers that govern my life. Even God is 'crazy' about numbers. His creation story were tied to numbers. I'll write about Numerical Significance in the nearest future. It's an in-depth topic because of it's revelational and mind blowing composition. Well, today I'm going to deliberate solely on the number ''3'' using myself as a case study. Yes, me.*side eyes. lol The number ''3'' signifies The Signature of God . And interestingly, we are about ending the third month of the year graciously. Errm... In truth, my many plans for the month didn't come out as intended. Man proposes, God disposes to expose...*I added the "To expose''. In this third month of the year, I've seen the signature of God (stamped and sealed) in my life.

The Word Or The Food?

Image
Your remember the face-off between Jesus and the devil (in Mathew 4:1-3) where the devil tried to tempt Jesus by telling Him to turn stone into bread? Well, continue reading to glimpse a natural account that appropriates The word and The Food accordingly. Anchor Scripture : Luke 10:38-42 "As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village. A woman by the name of Martha welcomed him and made him feel quite at home. She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. Later, she stepped in, interrupting them. "Master, don't you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand." "The master said, "Martha, dear Martha, you're fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up for nothing. One thing only is essential and Mary has chosen it - it's the main course, and won't be taken from her." Note that Jes

He Caught Nothing

Image
It'll interest you to know that God is in the habit of trading nothingness to realize bountifulness. The creation story of Genesis Chapter 1 is one to meditate upon. In the case of Peter who was a fisherman (Luke Chapter 5), he toiled from morning to night and caught nothing until Jesus stepped in with a divine instruction that entailed that Peter cast his hook one last time into the river. Only then did Peter encounter Jesus' extravagant blessing which prompted him to become one of the followers of Jesus. Also, in the case of Daniel who prayed and fasted for three months because of the berating state of Jerusalem, God stepped into his situation by sending an angel his way to give him a confirmatory report that his prayers has been answered. Shockingly, the angel told Daniel in confidence that the angel of Persia (devil) delayed (obstructed) him for three weeks until his arrival, crediting (Warrior) Angel Micheal for intervening *See Daniel Chapter 10 for the full accou

No One Serves God At A Loss?

Image
I've heard Spiritual Directors reiterate the above epigram..."No one serves God at a loss." From all I've deduced, it should be rephrased as, "Overall! No one serves God at a loss." Anchor Scripture: {2Timothy 3:12} "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."  Serving God is not for the feeble minded. This is why a consistent renewal of the mind is required for the grandiose race ahead. While thriving to thread in the path of Christ Jesus, there'll be serial rejections, blasphemy, hate, segregation, and all shades of negativity. And just like Apostle Paul, you'll work your fingers to the bone, up half the night moonlighting so that you don't become a burden to others. But after the storm, a pricey reward invigorating God's glory will be accrued. Uninterestingly, no one explicitly detail the gravity of ''losses'' that tags along with working with/for Christ.  No wonder Jes

A Builder Is More Valuable Than The Building

Image
As little as a builder seems to appear while standing next to a high rise building, he still remains the most important personality. In a situation where a building collapses, only the builder has the ability to reconstruct it. The sole responsibilities of rehabilitating a dilapidated building rests on the builder as well. With a designated architectural plan, identical buildings can be recreated. Anchor Scripture: {Hebrew 3:3} "A builder is more valuable than the building." Are you loaded with iconic potentials but yet to be identified by your destiny helper? Don't give up! You're a builder. You're not just a number in the census, You're an important personality. Ever wandered how a diligent hard-worker who once lost everything he laboured for bounces back to his feet and does greater exploits? Accrue yourself with the position of a builder and erect empires that'll work in your favour. Have a Productive day Fam! No Blogging Without Y

Are You Investing In The Devil?

Image
God says, I've created man in my image and likeness, but the devil manipulatively interjects, saying, If you eat this fruit, you'll be like God. God says, I'll send down rain to water your seed, but the devil aggressively counters, saying, Not before my eyes! I'll send plagues to your seed. God says, I'll give you double for your trouble, but the devil rebukes it, saying, Never! I'll devour you like a roaring lion. Anchor Scripture: {1Peter 5:8-10} "Be sober, be vigilant; because the devil your adversary walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered for a while, perfect establish, and settle you.  Mitchelle was an industrious young lady who quit her paid job to pursue the vision God placed in her heart. As she worke

The 3Ps

Image
Prophesies are utterances from Prophets inspired by God. These divine utterances are manifested at the appointed time. No matter how long it takes, it still comes to pass. From my study, I deduced that prophesies include prayers and paradigm. Prophesies, Prayers, and Paradigm are intertwined. For the purpose of easy assimilation, I'll term them The 3Ps. - Prophesy constitute gainful forecast or factual prediction. e.g (Isaiah 32:4-5) "No more will fools be made celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame. For fools are fools and that's that." - Prayer constitute defense mechanisms imbibed to sustain prophesies and ward off demonic antics. e.g (Isaiah 38:2)- "Hezekiah turned away from Isaiah and, facing the wall, prayed to God." (Isaiah 49:8)- "God said, when it time is ripe, I'll answer you, when victory is due, I will help you.'' - Paradigm constitute admonitions, or standard for living when a prophetic word has been uttere

An Ode To My Dear Mum!

Image
I spent her last days with her, it's somewhat relatable why I'm always in my feelings each time the thoughts of never going to see my mum again creeps in. I hope you like the Ode I composed for her... It goes thus; She used to be my gainful stalker Cute mum, sleek mum, extraordinaire overtaker Oh death! How dare you forsake her? Now she's gone to rest with the maker Ye devil you're happy now? Ye storm you're settled now? Yet torments you disembodied now? Wish the hand of time could roll back right now But hey! Life transcends in stages Tantamount to queen and sages Swiping through the pages Only the memories can be locked up in cages Aye! I know she secured in my heart Leveling every crooked path Eliminating every evil dart Acknowledging my profitable thrives with several pats I miss you Mum. I love you Mum. I got you Mum, even in death Mum #Kisses from the other side. Yours Truly, E.Hillz

INSECURITY

Image
Nobody is permitted to make you feel insecure without your permission. Anchor Scripture: {James 3:16} "For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there." Insecurity is tantamount to envy and other evil exhibition. In my teenage years, I battled with the most obscene type of insecurity. Whatever negative remark people made about me threw me into my shell. Affiliating with the rich kids was an impossible thing for me, I thought I was less of a human being than they were. Their vacation tales intensified the squash. I remember one Adeyojun boy telling me I had fat legs. His unruly words made me feel bad about my legs until I gained admission into university and many endorsed my legs commending it as; full, smooth, straight and beautiful. They even told me they wished they had my pair of legs. It made me feel good about my legs! Also, during my secondary school days as a boarding student, a female roommate occasionally made jest o

Don't Run Errands Connected With Your Old Life

Image
It's been proven that most people who run errands connected with their old lives end up obliging to the old lifestyle they resolved never to indulge in. Anchor Scripture: {Romans 6:13} "Don't even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourself wholeheartedly and full time - remember, you've been raised from the dead!- into God's way of doing things." From the above anchor scripture, we understand that running a little errand connected with your old life makes you vulnerable to the devil. The devil isn't looking for a large opening to execute his ploy, he is looking for the tiniest loophole to take advantage of. Be careful! A certain young lady who opted out of prostitution a.k.a runs and gave her life to Christ while she waited on Mr Perfect to tag along in anticipation of a befitting end. This lady was doing progressively well but failed to do away with her old friends w

Finish It!

Image
God is not interested in starters, but in finishers. Just like the creation story in Genesis Chapter One, He completed every work He started under six days and rested on the seventh day.    Which project did you start but yet to conclude? Go back to your work station and tastefully execute them; only the will you reflect God's image as a "finisher". Anchor Scripture: {Genesis 6:14-16&22} "Noah did everything God commanded him to do." Build a ship from teakwood. Make rooms in it. Coat it with pitch inside and out. Make it 450 feet long, seventy-five feet wide, and forty-five feet high. Build a roof for it and put it in a window eighteen inches from the top; put in a door on the side of the ship; and make three decks, lower, middle, and upper.    "Noah did everything God commanded him to do."  From the above anchor scripture, we take to cognizance that Noah finished the

What Happens When God Steps In...

Image
- You won't have to negotiate with pharaoh (enemy of progress) - You'll eliminate the two delusional phrases "what if" and "if only" - You'll be still (unshaken) - The foundation-less wall before you will collapse - Your fear and insecurity will become history - He'll bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you - You'll be like the tree planted near the rivers of water bearing fruit in your season and your leaves will not wither - You'll be like Mount Zion (Never shaken or terrorized) - You'll be satisfied with long life and good health - Sorrow and weeping shall disbound - You'll cross over to fertile ground - Whatever you lay your hands to do prospers - You'll do undeniable exploits - You'll not practice sin - You'll unceasingly make joyful noises to glorify Him - You'll multiply and be fruitful - You'll be a lender and not a borrower - Incontestable wisdom becomes

Rejoice, Oh Barren!

Image
No Pity Party Affair Woman, Rejoice! It's okay to weep and feel bitter over your situation, even "Almighty" Jesus weeped in the face of adversity, how much more you. But Hey! I have good news for you! Anchor Scripture {Galatians 4:27} "Rejoice, barren woman who bears no children, shout out and cry out, woman who has no birth pang, Because the children of the barren woman now surpass the children of the chosen woman." '' Aqar'' is the Hebrew word for Barren. It means showing no result of achievement, unproductive, sterile, waste, or desolate. Mrs Sarah Abraham is a model for all barren cases. God turned her dead womb into a living womb. Interestingly, there was no record of Sarah tampering her womb in her younger years, neither was it recorded that Abraham suffered from low sperm count during his youthful years. If you are an expectant mother and you've never tampered with your womb by either indulging in an abortion or the

Say What? Tests And Challenges Are Sheer Gifts From God?

Image
Just like prosperity and riches are sheer gifts from God, tests and challenges are too. Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colour. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way. - James1:2-4 Don't be discouraged when it feels like you're in a dead-end situation and there's no good Samaritan there to redeem you. keep fixing that tender eyes of yours unto Jesus, trusting him to deliver you. Truth is, when you come out of that dwindling situation, you'll look nothing like it, but everything like what God has ordained you to become. Anchor Scripture: {Isaiah 40:31} "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Not All Sin Is Fatal

Image
"Sin is sin but some sins are more fatal than other sins."- E.Hillz *This post is not a gateway to choosing bitty sins because of its lower consequences. As a matter of fact, intentionally sinning is more perilous. Also, all sin will be punished accordingly by the just judge. Anchor Scripture: 1John5:17 "Everything we do wrong is sin, but not all sin is fatal." MSG Translation "All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which does not lead to death." GNB Killing an individual and stealing an individual's pen are both sin but both don't accrue the same punishment. In a law court, justice is served according to the degree of misconduct, how much more God who is a Just Judge and the Judge of all judges. Don't go around "prostituting" or "gigloing' and expecting the same punishment accrued to the person that steals a piece of meat from a cooking pot. Also, don't go about telling grievous lies in the name of &qu

Don't hold On Desperately To A Spouse That Leaves

Image
God hates divorce. This explains why you should court right and marry right. But in a situation when a spouse decides to leave on the basis of gross infidelity, violence, abuse, addiction, indiscipline, and other negative vices, then it is justifiable to leave. Anchor Scripture 1 Corinthians 7:15 "If the unbelieving spouse walks out, you've got to let him or her go. You don't have to hold on desperately. God has called us to make the best out of it, as peacefully as we can." It's scriptural to secure your happiness and protect your body from danger. "Again they tried to arrest Jesus, but He escaped from their hands"- John 10:39 "But Paul's followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the city wall"- Acts 9:25  At a point in your life, you'll learn to do it yourself (self defense) because no one is coming to save you. God has stamped his DNA in every human (because He made us in His image

Which Are You? A Servant or A Messenger?

Image
A messenger is one who run errands that are beneficial to others, while A Servant is one who serves others; providing help and proffering solutions to their problems. Anchor Scripture:{Hebrews 1:7} MSG Translation "The messengers are winds, The Servants are tongues of fire." Citing the above anchor scripture, it categorically states that messengers are winds; intangible and without a domain. The life of a messenger is determined by the specification or direction of others. A messenger is used and misused. A messenger is accrued with the "See Finish Syndrome" who is at the beck and call of everyone but himself. Even when he is fatigued, he has no say. A messenger doesn't have any concrete assurance or insurance. Emergencies that spring up disorganizes his intended plan. But in the case of a servant, His case is different. A servant is a "tongue of fire" (blazing train) stationed in a domain to serve people and help those in dire need. He
